Digital Age Parenting

Cartoon #4136 - 'Mark and the kids are pretty computer savvy, but it's all geek to me.' This series of talks helps parents (and parish/school staff, for that matter) learn about the most current and important technology that our kids interact with all the time. Thus equipped, we will then discuss how to bring the Catholic faith into the way in which we use those technologies.

Specific talks include The Internet, Facebook, and Today's Tech. Thus, if you're looking for ways to help parents grapple with the online world or the cell phone revolution, this series is for you.

Sacrament Gatherings

Cartoon #2206 - 'You'd think if they really wanted to punish me they'd send me to their room!'This series provides media rich contemporary explorations of the sacraments received through youth catechetical programs: Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. The thrust of the series revolves around the fact that these sacraments aren't one time events but have relevance in our everyday lives.

Specific talks include parent meetings, with or without the kids, as well as Confirmation parent/sponsor/teen workshop and retreat.

Jerry has been engaged in public speaking, retreat leading, and reflection facilitation for several years now. Having extensive career experience as a teacher, Jerry's most comfortable when walking through a crowd and engaging in conversation with a group, least comfortable behind a podium as a talking head. Also, Jerry is a self-proclaimed geek and couch potato, bringing both to his presentations by using technology and media extensively to make theological points accessible through pop culture clips and examples.
